All My Eye

Just a quick update to let you know that the latest edition of our eyetoeye newsletter for libraries went live towards the end of last week. Issue 22 includes:

details of the latest project to be granted the Ingenta Research Award - this year's research will investigate user attitudes to e-books
news of changes to our IngentaConnect free service, which will be upgraded to include new features over the next few months
a summary of our experiences at this summer's library trade shows, including some insight into changing purchasing methods as discussed by our library services director Claire Winthrop on a panel at ALA
new publishers and titles added to the IngentaConnect service in the last quarter, and special offers for free trials and discounted subscriptions
finally there's a nice piece on blogging in the library community, written for the novice with a nice glossary and plenty of examples of how libraries are using blogs to add value to their existing services

We always ask for feedback about the content and format of our newsletters (via feedback@ingenta.com) and I'm delighted to say that we actually got some from this issue. A reader asked (not unreasonably) when we might plan to introduce RSS so that our readers don't have to receive our news by email. The good news is we are on the case and hope the introduce RSS for the next issue. We will - of course - alert you here when we've enabled that so you can add both our newsletters to your blogroll :o)
